Affiliate and advertising disclosure

Park Week is an independent publisher. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission. That does not change the price you are quoted.

This page is the full disclosure required by the Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guides. A shorter version sits in the header of every page so you do not have to hunt for it.

Who we are

Park Week is published by Gary Thomas. We are not the National Park Service, not a tour operator, and not an insurance agency. Bookings you make through outbound links are contracts between you and that company.

Material connections

We expect to participate in Commission Junction (CJ) advertiser programs with the following partners. Until advertiser IDs are live, buttons still go to the public sites and are labeled as placeholders.

Travel insurance is optional

Park Week never presents travel insurance as required for park entry, shuttle boarding, lodging search, or the use of this website. When we mention Allianz Travel US, we are offering an optional comparison point for travelers with prepaid, weather-sensitive, or nonrefundable pieces. Read the policy. Confirm it matches your trip. See the travel insurance guide.

How we choose products

Gateway towns and activities are chosen for logistics: drive time, seasonal access, and whether a second activity still works if the first cancels. We do not sell ranking slots inside a hub. If that ever changes, this page will change first.

Other paid relationships

Display advertising, sponsored essays, or newsletter sponsors would be labeled as such. We do not currently run third-party ads on article pages. CJ tracking cookies, when enabled, load in connection with affiliate click-throughs — details on the privacy page.
