By using Park Week, you agree to these terms. The publisher is Gary Thomas. The site is informational. National Park Service rules, concessioner contracts, and insurer policies control the trip — not this website.
No booking contract with us
If you reserve a room, tour, train, boat, or insurance plan through an outbound link, your contract is with that company. Park Week is not a party to it, does not hold your payment, and cannot modify their cancellation rules. Affiliate commissions, if any, do not make us your travel agent.
Editorial nature of itineraries
Hubs are plans compiled from public sources. They can be wrong the day after a road closure. Trails, shuttles, lotteries, and water levels change. You are responsible for checking current NPS alerts, weather, and your own fitness and equipment. We do not guarantee wildlife, views, or permit success.
Insurance language
Travel insurance references are optional. Nothing on this site is an offer of insurance, a recommendation that you buy a particular policy, or a statement that coverage is required. Read Allianz (or any other issuer’s) terms. Confirm medical, evacuation, cancellation, and adventure-sport exclusions yourself.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site in a way that impersonates Park Week, republish hubs as your own trip reports, or wrap our pages in a misleading booking skin. Do not use contact channels to send malware or to pretend you are the National Park Service.
Trademarks
National park names are geographic facts. NPS arrowhead and related marks belong to the U.S. government. Priceline, Hotels.com, Viator, and Allianz are trademarks of their owners. Park Week is not endorsed by them or by the Department of the Interior.
Limitation of liability
Outdoor travel includes risk: weather, water, altitude, wildlife, other drivers. To the extent law allows, Park Week and Gary Thomas are not liable for losses arising from use of the itineraries or from third-party bookings. Some states do not allow certain limitations; in those states, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update is acceptance. Related: privacy, disclosure.
