Park Week

Plan a week, not a fantasy itinerary.

US national parks · 3–7 day hubs

Plan a week, not a fantasy itinerary.

Park Week publishes stay-first itineraries for people who will actually take the trip: one lodging base, two paid activities, and optional travel insurance. We compile plans from National Park Service pages, reservation systems, and typical drive times. We do not invent field reports.

1 · Stay

Pick a gateway you can reach at dusk

Every hub names a primary town, an alternate, and when a split stay is the honest move. Lodging links go to Priceline and Hotels.com.

2 · Two paid activities

Tours that do not fight the driving

Two Viator-searchable outings per park, with a skip clause. If a river closes, the second activity is the week, not a refund argument.

3 · Optional insurance

A quote, never a requirement

Allianz Travel US appears where prepaid lodging or weather-sensitive tours might be hard to undo. Parks do not require travel insurance. Neither do we.

What this site will not do

  • Pretend Gary Thomas has walked every trail named here. He publishes the site. The research method is public.
  • Publish fake trip reports, invented wildlife sightings, or “secret” overlooks copied from a caption.
  • Stack fourteen stops into a Tuesday because the map looks small.
  • Treat travel insurance as part of park entry.
