Lake Crescent is the one Olympic water day that does not depend on a tide table or a mountain road report. A short paddle from the Storm King / Fairholme area turns a viewpoint stop into the day's paid activity without adding another 80-mile drive.
- Season notes
- Rentals and guided paddles concentrate in late spring through early fall. Shoulder-season water is cold; guides usually require (and should provide) a PFD. Winter paddles are a specialist trip, not this hub's second activity.
- Who it is for
- Families who want a non-hike afternoon, and anyone whose ridge day got weathered out.
- Skip if
- You already have a boat, or you would rather spend the money on a guided Hoh walk in heavy rain.
